Lunch and Learn: Walk through the Mass Step-by-Step

Thursday, January 23, 2025
11:30 AM - 1:30 PM

Click here to get the Mass Minute emailed to you.

Walk through the Mass Step-by-Step with Father Kevin and Father Nick. You will receive a worship aide with additional fun facts, scripture references, and deeper insights into the prayers. The Teaching Mass will be a great experience to help us more fully live out this year’s theme, Remain in Me and Bear Much Fruit. By learning about what we do at Mass and why we do it, we will come to a greater understanding of this great prayer the Lord has given us, and be better equipped to share the understanding and meaning of the Mass with others.

Registration is not required, but highly admired. Simply contact the Parish Secretary at parishsecretary@olgparish.org or 952-929-3317.

Join a Small Group

Are you called to start a small group? Maybe there's not a small group happening when it's convenient for you, or perhaps you feel called to help others (yourself included) get to know and love Jesus better in a small group setting. If so, contact Jessica or Tyler for more information.

Into the Depths Speaker Series: January Speaker is Dr. Pamela Patnode

Date: Tuesday, January 7, 6:30 - 8:00 PM
Speaker: Dr. Pamela Patnode
Title:  What is the Eucharist and Why Should I Care?

Many of us recognize that the Lord’s Day and the Eucharist are important – or, at least, they are supposed to be. But in all honesty, it can be hard to know how to fit them into our busy lives. This presentation takes a Biblical look at the Eucharist and the Sabbath, and offers practical ideas for busy people to honor the Lord’s Day with greater intention. In addition, current research will be shared that shows the surprising connections between worship and overall happiness and well-being. Come learn about the Eucharist and why it matters in our daily lives. (for teens and adults).

Dr. Pamela Patnode, OblSB is an international speaker who shares her experience as a wife, mother, Catholic author, educator, and Benedictine Oblate. She strives to inspire others to live their faith with passion and intention. Patnode holds a Doctorate in Education and a Master of Arts degree in Theology. She has served as a consultant and contributing author to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), she teaches in The Saint Paul Seminary Catechetical Institute, and most recently served as the Director for the Catholic School Leadership graduate program at The Saint Paul Seminary. Patnode has spoken at national and international Catholic conferences, parish events, women's retreats, and Catholic schools where she has presented in both English and Spanish. Pamela has been a guest of EWTN television and a regular guest of Relevant Radio.
