Golden Opportunities

Golden Opportunities hosts events for empty-nesters, retirees, and all those in the Golden stage of life! Please check out below the variety of events, fieldtrips and learning opportunities over the next few months.

Golden Opportunities: Lunch and Learn

Join us for our free Lunch and Learn events from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM in the Dining Room. Registration is not required, but highly admired. Simply contact the Parish Secretary at parishsecretary@olgparish.org or 952-929-3317.

“We greatly appreciate the extensive planning and attention to detail involved in organizing this trip. As a result, we were able to focus solely on the beauty of the moments in each sacred space and enjoy the company of other OLG parishioners.”

Thursday, March 13 – Come hear from parishioners Patricia Mudoy and Carlos Alfonzo as they open a window to our sister parish and school San Maximiliano Kolbe, based on their own recent travel to Honduras.  Learn about how small donations like soccer jerseys combined with devoted prayer from our community can help keep the children of ‘San Max’ off the streets and working toward a brighter future.

Golden Opportunities: On the Go!

The On the Go! complete details and required registration for each event can be found at the bottom of this page.

Wednesday, May 7 - Spring has sprung! Join us for a botanical journey at the Arboretum's Spring Tulip display! Enjoy God's beautiful spring bounty with a walk through over 40,000 tulips, hyacinth, and daffodil outdoor displays. Come on your own for a contemplative walk or ask a friend to share the experience. $40/person covers the Coach bus, admission to the Arboretum 12 miles of outdoor trails, the art galleries and gift and garden store, and a walk through 40,000 spring tulips! Lunch is on your own to enjoy at the Arb Cafe, or you may bring your own bagged lunch. Registration coming soon!

I want to thank you for such a nice outing yesterday to Cosetta’s and the St. Paul Cathedral. It was so nice to have such a warm group of people and so informative on my first visit to the Cathedral. Thank you again for organizing a great day, as time goes on I hope to participate in more adventures!
