The Mass transcends time and space, and everything we say and do in the Liturgy is steeped in biblical language. Using Dr. Edward Sri's book of the same name, together through media and discussion we will explore these extraordinary biblical roots, reveal what it all means, and why it all matters. A good follow-up to the recent teaching Mass that will deepen your love and devotion to the central act of our faith.

Live at OLG with Mary Lynn and Warren Staley

Live at OLG: Third Thursday of Every Month

Cocktails. Mocktails. Conversations that Matter.

Upcoming Date: Thursday, October 17
Time: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Location: Our Lady of Grace, Edina

Kicking it off with what should be the finale. Live at OLG fires back up with two of our very own: Mary Lynn and Warren Staley. Warren is the former CEO of Cargill. We will hear about his experience as CEO, husband, and father, as well as, how he kept faith a priority and Mary Lynn's experience during that time.

If you think being the CEO of Cargill isn’t enough, the couple has been heavily involved in kickstarting our sister school in Ghana – Our Lady of Grace High School. “The school is named after Our Lady of Grace Parish in Minnesota which had a relationship as a sister parish with St. Joseph's parish in Mamponteng, Ghana, in West Africa. The relationship between Our Lady of Grace and St. Joseph’s Parish in Ghana began when Fr. John Opuko was a weekend associate at Most Holy Trinity Parish. When the sister parish relationship started over ten years ago, no one would have dreamt that it would have led to the building of a school for 1,000 students in Ghana.”

Warren Staley was newly installed as Ashanti “Chief of Development” during his January trip to OLG senior high school Ghana AFRICA. Warren’s Ghanian name is Nana Adu Boahen II.

Live at OLG is a monthly conversation series for young professionals (ages 21 - 35). Imagine a collaboration between a late night show, a cocktail lounge, and the Catholic Church. That’s the vibe at “Live at OLG.”

Teaching Mass: Walk through the Mass Step-By-Step with Father Kevin

Tuesday, October 1, 6:15 - 7:45 PM in the Church and Commons

The Walk through the Mass Step-By-Step with Fr. Kevin and Fr. Nick is a great place to learn more about the why behind what we do!

Come and discover the deeper meaning of the items we use and the gestures we do!

Have you ever wondered why we cross our forehead, lips, and chest at the Gospel?  Have you ever wondered what Father says to himself sometimes during the Mass?   Have you ever wondered when exactly does Jesus become present on the altar?

Join us for A Walk through the Mass Step-by-Step with Father Kevin and Father Nick. You’ll receive a worship aide with additional fun facts, scripture references, and deeper insights into the prayers. The Teaching Mass will be a great way to kick off this year’s theme, Remain in Me and Bear Much Fruit. By learning about what we do at Mass and why we do it, we will come to a greater understanding of this great prayer the Lord has given us. What we come to know, we are more likely to love, and what we love, we desire to share.

If you have questions, please contact Jessica.
