Roman Pauly Funeral

Thursday, March 3, 10:30 AM

Roman C. Pauly, age 62, born in Sheboygan, WI went home to be with his Lord while surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife of over 35 years, Mary Jo; sons Christian (Annabelle) and Joseph; mother Catherine; sisters Helen (John) Shiely and Margaret (Stanley) Kaymen; he will also be greatly missed by the Sullivan family and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Dr. Roman C. Pauly.

Roman graduated from Sheboygan North High School and Marquette University with a degree in finance. He delighted in his work at American Phoenix, QEI Corporation and Surfx Technologies where he formed special bonds with his colleagues. He took excitement in creating connections and fostering relationships with many whom he encountered.

Roman’s real life’s work involved building a loving home with his wife, whom he met in the MU library 40 years ago. Together they raised two sons he adored, teaching them by action the importance of faith, family and determination. Roman valued a faith-based life, which was in turn nurtured in his sons through the support of the education provided at Our Lady of Grace and Benilde St. Margaret’s Catholic schools. He treasured time with family and close friends and especially enjoyed the magic of a crisp fall afternoon or chilly winter evening at Lambeau Field. He had a passion for creating gourmet dishes, playing the house DJ and in the past decade discovered a talent with a paint brush. The vibrant colors on his canvas reflected his zest and joy for life. Roman will be best remembered by his warm smile, quick wit, kind heart and contagious laugh.

The Pauly family is humbled by the outpouring of prayer and support from family and friends. Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital who provided care to Roman.
