LifeNight's are a mixture of faith and fun, and are open to everyone who is in high school! Each LifeNight has a fun game, a testimony or teaching about a different topic of our faith, discussion, and closing prayer.

At LifeNights you will be able to talk about a variety of issues and experiences with friends and young adult leaders so that together you can grow in faith and discover how a relationship with God will help you have the best life possible! This is an incredible time to connect with friends and God in the midst of our busy lives.

December 2019 View this email in your browser Here at OLG our  High School Youth Ministry (anyone who has been confirmed in 8th-12th grade) is meant to engage young people where they are at in their journey to respond to the ultimate call of all of our lives: the call to be an intentional disciple of God.  In all of our ministires we bring the Gospel to young people by the art of living well - and it begins and ends with Christ. There are so many places here at OLG for everyone to get involved in order to share their gifts.  Contact us today to see where God is calling you!  Greetings all!  I hope that you had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving! I know that I did!  It was discovered that I needed to get my Gallbladder removed! I am actually incredibly thankful, because as many of you know I have been feeling very sick these last few weeks. After the surgery I should be back to my regular self, and I am so blessed that we live in a world where this can be taken care of so quickly! My Surgery is scheduled for 12/10/2019 at 8AM - it is an out patient procedure so I should be in an out in a few hours that day, and they estimate in one week I'll be back at OLG. If you could say a prayer for me, my family, the surgical team, and everyone who is also getting surgery that would be amazing. I can already tell those that have been praying for me have helped me to feel so great this last week!  With this in mind we are going to be canceling the following events:  Open Youth Room 12/11/2019 4:30-7PM LifeNight 12/11/2019 7:30- 9PM Extravaganza: Escape Room in a Box! 12/15/2019 7:30-9PM AND DON'T FORGET - No LifeNight tomorrow! It is the Advent day of Mercy!  We should resume our regular schedule on 12/18/2019 for our Christmas Celebration LifeNight. If that changes we will let you know ASAP. I've never had surgery before, sooooo I have no idea how my recovery will be - my Fibromyalgia makes it a bit complicated to tell as well.  Know that you are all in my prayers, and I am so thankful for each and everyone of you!  God bless! A willingness and desire to share their faith and serve in their community.

Service with Youth Ministry

Every month, our Youth Ministry offers to our parish’s teens many Christian Service opportunities. We are called to help make a difference in our parish, community and world. Jesus Himself was our model of how we should serve!

Join the OLG HS Youth Group for a weekend of fun and faith with a High school Retreat! We are going to play games, eat good food, Mass, Adoration, and basically have a great weekend! More importantly it's going to be a great chance to get together with other HighSchoolers to pray, have fun, and grow in your relationship with Jesus. Registration Forms HERE - just turn into the Parish Office!

Weather permitting  we are going to be doing a low ropes course, zip line, ANNNNND THE BLACK HOLE! In the black hole participants are strapped to a wheeled board and ride down the inside of a heavy duty plastic tube partially buried in the ground. TRUST US- its way fun!
