A Climate Ambition Summit will be held on Saturday 12th December, date that coincides with the 5th anniversary of the Paris Agreement. According to the UK government the summit will: “provide a platform for leaders ready to come forward with announcements under the three pillars of the Paris Agreement; mitigation, adaptation and support”. In the context of the current pandemic, such a bold ambition voice for climate action is becoming more and more relevant especially looking at all efforts done to shape policies at national, regional, international level for a just and sustainable recovery.
The aim of this webinar is to urge governments to raise ambition through a faith and science voice. This is part of Pope Francis’ commission on the response to COVID-19 and building on faiths’ contributions to reach the Paris Agreement in 2015.
