Kathleen M. Puff passed away surrounded by her family on April 16th, 2020, in Saint Paul. Kathleen enjoyed spending time with all her children, travelling, and celebrations of all types. She was born in St. Paul to Parnell and Loretta Sullivan. Growing up, Kathleen enjoyed many outdoor activities including dance, skating, and swimming. After graduating from Wilson High School, she attended St. Catherine’s University, receiving a B.A. in Elementary Education. She loved teaching and retained an interest in Education, even after retiring.
Kathleen married Marvin Puff on July 1st, 1950, and they were blessed with 8 children. “Marv and Kathy” travelled to Hawaii, Florida, Arizona, as well as many trips to visit family in the Twin Cities and across the upper Midwest. In her later years, she enjoyed living independently until 90 years old, watching the Bachelor, enjoying birthdays, holidays, good meals, travelling to Italy, Hawaii, and Florida while always worrying about her children and grandchildren.
Kathleen was preceded in her passing by her husband, Marvin, her brothers, Kenneth and Parnell (Buddy) Sullivan, and her sister, Merle Mahowald, with whom she shared a very deep bond due to their large families.
Kathleen is survived by her 8 children (Michael, Mary, John (Pam), Barbara, Teresa, Thomas, Arthur, and Ellen) and her five grandchildren (Sam, Connor, Hannah, Sophia, and Maria).
