She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, LeRoy F. Fish; brothers, Richard Carpentier and David Carpentier and her parents, Lee and Elizabeth (Gonier) Carpentier.

As a young woman, Jeanne enjoyed figure skating and had the privilege to perform in residence in Sun Valley, ID. She also enjoyed folk dancing and square dancing, through which she met LeRoy who shared her love of dance. They enjoyed 61 years of marriage prior to LeRoy’s passing in 2014. Jeanne’s priority was her family, and she spent most of her career raising her children. Having attended a few years of business college, when her children were raised, she worked as a secretary for St. Olaf College of Nursing and later supported LeRoy in running the hardware store they owned in South Minneapolis, LK Olson Hardware. Jeanne also enjoyed singing with the church choir, and later in life started learning to play the organ. She continued to take lessons, play and create melodies until a few months before her passing.

Jeanne moved to New Albany, IN in 2016 to live with her daughter, Debbie. She always missed her friends and family in MN, where she had lived her whole life, but also enjoyed spending time with her family in Indiana and making new friendships. She will be remembered fondly for her dedication in caring for her husband toward the end of his life, and her strong, kind and thankful spirit observed by all she encountered.
