Robert “Bob” Snook Funeral

Robert "Bob" William Snook, age 90, of Edina, passed away peacefully at home in Eden Prairie on Sunday, June 2nd, with his beloved wife by his side, holding his hand.
Born on May 23, 1934, in Des Moines, Iowa, Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Snook and Janice Mensing Snook, and his sister, Patricia Williams.
Bob graduated from Cannon Falls High School in 1952 and the College of Saint Thomas in 1956. He served honorably in the Army National Guard. He concluded a distinguished business career as Executive Vice President and Treasurer of the Minnesota Malting Company in Cannon Falls.
A dedicated patron of the arts, Bob attended Minnesota Orchestra concerts for 35 years, always occupying the same seats. He encouraged young people to engage with music, including chaperoning trips with the Edina Bands. He was a proud Eagle Scout and Scout Leader. He and his wife enjoyed traveling and attended numerous Master Brewers Association and Tax Executive Institute conferences around the world. Robert also cherished time spent boating on Lake Minnetonka, visiting his children's cabins, and annual fishing trips to Canada.
Bob is survived by his wife of 65 years, Charlotte; and his four children: Bob (Judy) Snook, Stephanie (Todd) Frisvold, Tom (Andrea) Snook, and Jim (Tracy) Snook. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will start one hour prior to the service, followed by a luncheon. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the University of St. Thomas, J.A. Wedum Residential Hospice, or Joyce Uptown Food Shelf.
