Reflection Questions

  1. From which gospel do we hear today? (Mark)

  2. What is the name of the blind man who asks Jesus to help him to see? (Bartimaeus)

  3. What does it mean to “rebuke” someone, and what context cues help you understand? (To express sharp disapproval or criticism of someone; text cue - many told him to be silent)

  4. What is one way people can be blind, even though they can physically see? (People sometimes don’t see others’ needs, or don’t see how their words and actions hurt others)

  5. How does Jesus respond to Bartimaeus? (“Jesus told him, ‘Go your way; your faith has saved you.”)

  6. Share a time your faith saved you.
