Phase 2 of our AOM project is nearly complete! Only a handful of small tasks are left in our new building, and we are patiently awaiting an official Certificate of Occupancy! Cleaners have gone through the entire space to get ready for the move-in of our furniture and summer staff. While the interior of the building nears completion, and with favorable summer weather, our crews are actively working outside. New sidewalks have been poured, our parking lot has been repaved, and construction started on our new preschool playground. New safety islands were installed to keep our students away from traffic and heated sidewalks in front of the new school entrance will keep everyone right side up during our classic Minnesota winters.
The final phase of our AOM project, our new Kitchen and Cafeteria, began in June. Demolition crews have been hard at work, prepping the space for new construction. Work has been done to prepare for and install structural steel to support our roof and the future mechanical units.
