Parish Activity Center Floor Signing

Sunday, February 27, 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

On February 27, over 1,100 people walked down the grand staircase of our new building and signed our Parish Activity Center gym sub-floor. There was so much excitement in leaving one's mark and being a part of the growth of OLG! A huge thank you to our steadfast volunteers, who made the event possible. It was so much fun and was a wonderful success!

Construction Update | January 2022

Walkthrough tours for staff and other leadership have begun in January, and there is so much to see! The masonry of the pre-function area and the roofing installations of the building are complete. Concrete flooring has been poured for the gym, stage, and pre-function space. Drywall is going up and we are really able to see how the space will function for new preschoolers, middle school students, and so many others in our Parish Activity Center. We are looking forward to welcoming in parish families to see the space for themselves in February – stay tuned for details.

Construction Update | December 2021

At the beginning of December, our construction project is 55% complete. Favorable weather has allowed for walls and roofing to be installed on schedule. The building will soon have windows installed and interior walls go up. As we close out 2021, we are building momentum toward August 2022 when our new space will be open and ready for the new academic year. A few members of leadership and staff have been able to tour the new space and are so excited for all in our community to see the fruit of this project in 2022!

Construction Update | November 2021

As of the beginning of November, the construction project is 45% complete. The month of October was a large push to complete the shell structure of the Parish Activity Center, and to begin to close up the building. Structural steel, joists, and roof decking were erected, then concrete slabs on deck were poured for the roof in the north building area and for the second level floors in the Preschool and north classroom areas. Roofing started in late October, and will continue into November.

The morning of Wednesday, November 10, we had over 20 construction workers laying the concrete flooring of the parish activity center. It's so exciting to see things coming together!

Construction Update | October 2021

The wall panels are finished being installed, and the ceiling trusses are almost completed. In October, our students, staff, and AOM donors had an opportunity to sign our final ceiling beam before it was installed. We are all so excited to see how far the new wing has come!

From August 2 - August 6, the Back Alley Service Road will be closed to all traffic. Signage will be installed to direct traffic on campus and Normandale Road. Precast panels for the new building will be delivered starting August 2: this is a big milestone!

Tuesday, August 3 – Spring 2022
Beginning August 3, Eden Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Grandview Square and the railroad bridge (access for local traffic to individual driveways will be maintained). To limit traffic through the construction area, please notify tenants, customers, and employees of this closure and urge them to seek alternate routes. Phase 1 (Grandview Sq. to railroad) is expected to be completed later this fall, and Phase 2 (railroad to HWY 100, and roundabout) will begin next spring, 2022.

Construction Update | July 2021

Lots of change has been taking place in front of the school over the past weeks! In the midst of the dirt and digging we’ve all been seeing, the construction workers have been pouring concrete footings and working on the foundation of the new building. As fences, building materials, and machines temporarily limit some of our usual parking and spaces, we are grateful for your patience and caution, allowing us to continue to have a safe and successful construction season.
