OLG Young Professionals is having a watch party for the ASCEND Conference and you are invited!

On Thursday night, January 21st in the Dining Room join Fr. Kevin Finnegan, a founder of SPO, for a Watch Party of ASCEND 2020. We will have fellowship available beginning at 7:00pm in the Church Commons with the conference beginning at 7:30pm. Registration for the event can be found at HERE. annnnd let OLG know you are coming HERE.  ASCEND will take participants on a deep dive into what it means to be “created for worship.” The conference will feature guest speakers Fr. Mike Schmitz, Dr. Mary Healy, and Dr. Dan Keating.

Last year was the first year we set-out to create ASCEND: a 500+ person SPO conference in Orlando, FL. It was an amazing three day event that allowed our national staff and Missionaries, as well as students from across the country, to gather in worship and encounter Jesus in a very real way.

This year, given COVID restrictions, we have had to pivot and move the ASCEND Conference online. Rather than seeing this as a roadblock to our ministry, we have embraced the challenge, and are running with the opportunity God has placed before us; part of which is inviting YOU.

We have rented a studio, invested in our own production gear, and have been working around the clock to create a one-of-a-kind live stream experience. Our prayer throughout it all has been to create an event that clearly communicates who God is, with our theme being “Created for Worship”.

As someone who supports SPO, there are not many opportunities where you really get to see first hand what is happening in the mission and what SPO’s charisms look like in practice; ASCEND is your chance.

Join us online for compelling keynote presentations from Fr. Mike Schmitz, Dr. Mary Healy, and Dr. Dan Keating, a powerful, live worship experience, and engaging testimonies of how God is working in and through SPO on campus.

This event would not be possible without your support; we are so excited to be able to invite you to be a part of it. Registration is completely free. We hope you will join us at ASCEND '21 online!
