The goal of this Life Night is for the teens to recognize how Jesus is present and dispenses divine life in the sacraments.

LifeNight's are a mixture of faith and fun, and are open to everyone who is in high school! Each LifeNight has a fun game, a testimony or teaching about a different topic of our faith, discussion, and closing prayer.

At LifeNights you will be able to talk about a variety of issues and experiences with friends and young adult leaders so that together you can grow in faith and discover how a relationship with God will help you have the best life possible! This is an incredible time to connect with friends and God in the midst of our busy lives. Check out our calendar for the 2019/2020 School Year!

On our Wednesday night LifeNights we will record our teaching and prayer of the night. Then on the following Thursday evening we will watch the video together over zoom, and have our SG online! Make sure you register here, because each week I’ll send out the ZOOM code to registered families.

If Only You Would Ask: A Guide to Spending Quality Time with the Elderly.

November 2, 2:00pm-3:30pm

October 2020 View this email in your browser Here at OLG our  High School Youth Ministry (anyone who has been confirmed in 8th-12th grade) is meant to engage young people where they are at in their journey to respond to the ultimate call of all of our lives: the call to be an intentional disciple of God.  In all of our ministires we bring the Gospel to young people by the art of living well - and it begins and ends with Christ. Our Online LifeNights are the next day (Thursday) from 7:30 - 8:30PM. The goal of our LifeNight last night - titled "Dangerous" - was for us all to understand holiness as being set apart for God and dangerous to the status quo because it challenges mediocrity and inspires extraordinary living. When we live in the love of God and reject worldly substitutes and counterfeits of love, we begin our journey of becoming holy. Holiness means to be set apart for God. It is dangerous to the status quo because the presence of holy people challenges mediocrity and inspires extraordinary living. St. Stephen’s holiness and witness to Christ challenged the status quo. Because of this, he was persecuted and killed. We are called to withstand persecution through testimony sharing and remaining faithful in prayer. Our challenge last night was to come up with our OWN testimony. HERE is a super helpful resource to begin working on your testimony. REMEMBER! The Life Night builds hope of being loved and loving others in an extraordinary way. Our discussion questions last night lead to great small group conversations! Check them out below -  Do you love anyone with agape type love? Who? Have you ever experienced the presence of Christ in prayer? When? Have you ever experienced agape love? From who? How? How can the different types of loves work together in a relationship? How can you see them working together in your relationships? How can you live your life integrating agape type love? Prayer? Disinterested friendships? Intentional dating? As with all OLG events we follow CDC, State, and Archdiocesan guidelines for health and safety. This event will be outside. The Life Night builds hope of being loved and loving others in an extraordinary way.
