COUNTERFEIT A LIFE NIGHT ON COUNTERFEITS OF GOD’S LOVE

LifeNight's are a mixture of faith and fun, and are open to everyone who is in high school! Each LifeNight has a fun game, a testimony or teaching about a different topic of our faith, discussion, and closing prayer.

At LifeNights you will be able to talk about a variety of issues and experiences with friends and young adult leaders so that together you can grow in faith and discover how a relationship with God will help you have the best life possible! This is an incredible time to connect with friends and God in the midst of our busy lives. Check out our calendar for the 2019/2020 School Year!

The goal of Counterfeit is to discuss human sexuality and desire for romantic love from a Trinitarian perspective and bring awareness to the many counterfeits of romantic love that we experience in our day-to-day lives. The Life Night builds hope of being loved and loving others in an extraordinary way.

Can’t make our LifeNights on Wednesday night? Don’t worry! We have another option!

On our Wednesday night LifeNights we will record our teaching and prayer of the night. Then on the following Thursday evening we will watch the video together over zoom, and have our SG online! Make sure you register here, because each week I’ll send out the ZOOM code to registered families.

Our Online LifeNights has resources, activities, and links to help our youth take that next step in faith right now, at home, or on the go!

The goal of Overfed Yet Starving is to bring awareness to substitutes of God’s love that keep us overfed yet starving. The Life Night introduces the teens to ways they can be satisfied by the extraordinary, the Bread of Life, in Eucharistic Adoration, as opposed to ordinary substitutes, like streaming TV and social media.

Here at OLG our  High School Youth Ministry (anyone who has been confirmed in 8th-12th grade) is meant to engage young people where they are at in their journey to respond to the ultimate call of all of our lives: the call to be an intentional disciple of God.

In all of our ministires we bring the Gospel to young people by the art of living well - and it begins and ends with Christ. There are so many places here at OLG for everyone to get involved in order to share their gifts.  Contact us today to see where God is calling you!
Our mission to Make Jesus Known and Loved hasn’t changed during these unprecedented and critical times.  Certainly it looks different, but our mission remains the same.  Please continue to live our mission with your prayers, service to others, and financial support.  Donate now.  THANK YOU!

Last week we had our FIRST LIFENIGHT! It was a great evening of faith, fellowship, and snacks! Our challenge for the week was to take these two questions to prayer this week. "What do you want your year to be? Just living or being fully alive in Christ?"

This week our LifeNight is themed ALIVE The goal of Alive is to explore why we were created. It discusses how we were created from love and for love, and that we are created to love. The Life Night challenges us all to be satisfied in God’s love and live extraordinary lives. We hope to see you there!

As with all OLG events we follow CDC, State, and Archdiocesan guidelines for health and safety. This event will be outside. In the case of bad weather we will reschedule.

Priest Residence Open House
Open House - Sunday, October 18
We excited for the long anticipated completion of our Priest Residence, the first project to reach completion in our AOM Campaign. You are invited to come and see the new house, joining us in celebrating this big moment for our church and school community! You will have an opportunity to write a submission for the Time Capsule project and see firsthand the beautiful chapel that will house it. Social distancing protocols will be observed as guests tour the space. We hope to see you there!

Please contact Jon Cassady at joncassady@olgparish.org or in the Parish Office (x9054) with any questions.

OLG AV Production Ministry
Do you have experience with audio / visual production? Or you are willing to learn? Our Lady of Grace is seeking to grow our audio visual volunteer production team. Learn from industry experts while helping to bring live and online events to life. Ages 13+. A great ministry for families to serve together in. Contact Kory LaCroix at korylacroix@olgparish.org for more information and to volunteer.
Mass Volunteers Needed
Due to our Mass attendance numbers continuing to grow, we have a greater need for ushers, lectors, greeters, eucharistic ministers and sacristans at our weekend and weekday liturgies. Currently we need 4-5 team members at every weekend liturgy to welcome parishioners, sanitize pews and guide parishioners in and out of the Church. See more....
Do you have a bounty of produce? Are your neighbors tired of the extra zucchini? Then bring your bountiful produce to Our Lady of Grace in a bag or box by Tuesday morning and put it on the “Produce Cart” in the Commons. We will take your fresh produce to a local food shelf to add homegrown nutrition to the items VEAP or STEP can purchase. Your produce need not be picture perfect, it only needs to be fresh and good to eat. We will continue collecting produce through at least the end of August. For an added bonus, bring your favorite recipe with your produce. Your hungry brothers and sisters will bless you and your green thumb!
The parish of St. Albert the Great and Rebuilding Hope in Minneapolis is honored that our parish community has chosen them as the conduit for helping the underserved people of South Minneapolis. The destruction that happened at the end of May and into the early summer has deprived many of easy access to stores and pharmacies that provided food and household essentials. Special thanks to OLG volunteers Susanne Hoy and Alison James who have worked with St. Albert’s to help make this partnership possible. St. Albert’s volunteers have also taken food donations to a number of the tent encampments in northeast Minneapolis. We thank you for your continuing support. Many lives are made better because of you.
