  1. What was the condition of the man whom the people brought to Jesus to be healed? (he was deaf and could not hear or talk well)

  3. Why do you think Jesus took the man away from the crowd?

  4. Can you make your face look astonished (surprised) like the people who saw the healing Jesus had done?

  3. What is one of the two things Jesus told the disciples to take with them? (A walking stick and sandals) 

  4. How did Jesus tell them to respond if they were not welcomed? (To shake the dust off their feet and move on.) 

  5. What kinds of things did the Twelve do in Jesus’s name? (cured the sick, anointed others with oil, preached repentance)

Family Activity

Try this fun memory game! 

  1. The first person says, "I'm taking a trip and I’m going to pack my _________________" filling in the blank with anything they would take on a trip, like shirt, pants, teddy bear, toothbrush, swim goggles, etc. 

  2. Each person repeats what the last person said, adds their own item, and so on.

  3. Make it cooperative by helping kids remember what comes next.
