Weekly Reflection Questions - For Families with Kids

1. Today’s gospel is a special kind of story Jesus told his disciples; what kind of story is it? It starts with “P” and ends in “able”. (parable) 

2. Who are the wise and foolish maidens waiting for in the story? (the bridegroom) 

3. What did the wise maidens do? (they brought extra oil to keep their lamps burning) 

4. Who do you think the bridegroom represents? (Jesus) 

5. Why do you think Jesus told this story? (He wants people to be ready for Him when He comes again.) 

6. What is one thing our family can do to be ready when Jesus comes?
