Weekly Reflection Questions - For Families with Kids

1. From which gospel do we hear today? (John) 

2. What is the name of today’s celebration, and what does it celebrate? (Pentecost celebrates the coming of the Holy Spirit and is referred to as the birthday of the Church) 

3. When Jesus appeared in the midst of the disciples, how does he greet them? (He says “Peace be with you.”) 

4. Who does Jesus say sent Him, as he now sends the disciples? (the Father) 

5. When Jesus breathed on the disciples, what did he say? (“Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained.”)  

6. Share a time when you felt the Holy Spirit at work. How did you know it was the Holy Spirit?
